Singing for the heartbroken and hopeful

Soul Sessions are gentle online singing experiences for people navigating grief, loss or emotional overwhelm.

Through breathing, beautiful songs, gentle movement and voice, we create space for connection, release and hope.

No solos. No pressure. No singing experience needed.

No solos.

A space to breathe, sing, feel and reconnect

Grief lives in the body.

In the breath.

In the nervous system.

In the parts of ourselves that conversation alone cannot always reach.

Soul Sessions offer a gentle space to release, reconnect and feel held through music and voice.

These are not performance-based singing sessions. They are experiences designed to help you feel:

- lighter

- calmer

- connected

- hopeful

- alive again

Everything is an invitation.

Come exactly as you are.

What happens in a Soul Session?

During the hour we gently explore:

• breathing and grounding

• vocal exercises

• beautiful and hopeful songs

• gentle movement

• emotional release

• connection and reflection

Because of the delay online, everyone sings with microphones off.

There are no solos (apart from Georgina).

We are singing together even though we cannot hear each other.

People often say this creates a surprisingly deep and personal experience — one where they feel connected to others while also reconnecting with themselves.

You will never be asked to share unless you want to.

To help create a sense of connection, participants are encouraged to keep cameras on where possible, but your comfort always comes first.

why singing?

Your voice can express things words sometimes cannot.

Singing has the power to regulate, soothe, energise and release.

For many grieving people, emotions can become trapped in the body. Singing, breath and movement can gently help shift what has become stuck.

Soul Sessions are uplifting, tender and hopeful.

This is not about “fixing” grief.

It is about giving it space — while also making room for moments of aliveness, connection and joy.

How people feel afterwards

People often leave Soul Sessions feeling:

• lighter

• calmer

• emotionally released

• connected

• energised

• more alive

Meet Georgina

Georgina Jones is a creative facilitator, singer and speaker with over 20 years' experience in performance, voice and singing.

She co-founded Sing and Inspire, an award-winning organisation using music and collective singing to bring people together — working with businesses to create company choirs and meaningful team-building experiences.

Through this work, she helped develop pioneering choir initiatives with Tenovus Cancer Care for people affected by cancer, alongside creating uplifting community choir experiences designed to help people rediscover confidence, connection and joy through singing.

Her background spans theatre, studio recording, television and live performance — but at the heart of everything she does is creating spaces where people feel safe enough to use their voice.

For the last two years, through Grief Disco, Georgina has explored how music, movement and collective experience can support people through loss.

Soul Sessions were born from this work. When co-founder Leah invited Georgina to facilitate an online singing session as part of the Grief in Nature programme, the impact was immediate — a powerful sense of connection, release and hope for people navigating grief. From that moment, Georgina knew this was something she needed to offer more widely.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be a good singer?

Absolutely not. Soul Sessions are about connection, not performance.

What if I feel emotional?

Emotion is welcome here. Everything is an invitation and there is never pressure to share.

Can I keep my camera off?

You are encouraged to keep your screen on to help create connection, but you are always free to do what feels right for you.

Is this therapy?

No. Soul Sessions are creative, supportive singing experiences designed to support wellbeing and connection.

What should I bring?

Just yourself, a comfortable space and perhaps a drink of water or blanket nearby.

Do you have any community supported (free) spaces?

I’ll be offering two community-supported places per session for people who genuinely can’t afford to attend right now. As the group grows, I hope to be able to offer more.
