We dance to remember not to forget.

We dance not to escape but to connect.

At Grief Disco, we don’t dance to forget. We dance to remember, to honour, and to reconnect—with ourselves, with joy, and with each other. Music helps us shake off the weight of sorrow, even if just for a moment, and reminds us that life still holds space for movement, laughter, and healing.

Bring life to grief.

No solos.

No pressure.

No singing experience needed.

Meet Georgina

I’m Georgina - a creative facilitator, singer and speaker with more than 20 years’ experience bringing people together through music, creativity and honest conversation.

Throughout my career, I’ve held space for thousands of people; from large events and workplace programmes to community choirs and small, deeply personal gatherings.

At the heart of everything I do is creating spaces were people feel safe enough to be themselves, use their voice and connect with others.

After my son Osian died in 2023, I experienced first-hand how isolating grief can be, and how few spaces exist where grief and joy are allowed to sit side by side.

Grief Disco grew from that experience.

I co-founded Grief Disco with Leah Sian Davies to create a space where people could honour who or what they had lost through music, movement, ritual and connection.

We dance to remember, not to forget.

Since our first Grief Disco, the idea has travelled across the UK and beyond. It has been incredible to see trained hosts bringing Grief Disco into their own communities, hospices and organisations, and I am passionate about helping it travel even further.

During the training, I’ll share everything I’ve learned about creating and holding a Grief Disco with care; from planning your event and choosing the music to welcoming people, creating meaningful rituals and holding the emotions that may arise.

I understand both the personal reality of grief and the responsibility that comes with creating a space where people can bring all of themselves.

I’ll be there to guide you, answer your questions and help you create a Grief Disco that feels safe, meaningful and true to you and your community.

Can I run a Grief Disco anywhere?

Yes! You can host one in your local hall, yoga studio, community centre, or even your living room. We’ll show you how to make it work for your space and community.
